As our world faces unexpected changes, we want you to know that we are here for you at Surfside Pediatrics. We understand the stress everyone is feeling and together we will get through this!
At Surfside Pediatrics we are committed to maintaining your family's health during this crisis.
Starting Monday, March 23, 2020
We will now be seeing Well Patients only on Monday mornings and Friday mornings - no sick patients will be in the office during those times and the office will be meticulously cleaned the night before. Since we don't know how long this concern will last, we feel it is imperative that we do all we can to keep our patients healthy while keeping them safe. Other visits that can be scheduled during these times are visits that are unrelated to sickness such as ADHD and other medicine rechecks. We take this virus very seriously and hope you are doing your part as well by staying home except for essential outings and washing your and your child's hands meticulously.
More on what we're doing to protect our families:
• Wiping down the exam rooms after every sick child including exam tables, chairs and doorknobs.
• Full cleaning of waiting areas and patient bathroom twice per day.
• Patient access to masks for sick children and hand sanitizer and soap.
• Wiping down check-in iPads after every patient.
• Keeping ourselves up-to-date on the latest recommendations.
It is very important that children are kept up to date on their well visits including immunizations to prevent outbreaks of other diseases such as whooping cough and measles. We understand that you may worry about bringing your well child in at this time. We will make every effort to take patients back to a room as quickly as possible. Once you check in if there is not an exam room available we welcome you to wait outside in your car until we can bring you back. Just let the front desk know you are waiting outside and we will call you when it’s time to come in.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
